Modjeska Ranch Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization based in south Orange County, California. It operates as an all-volunteer rescue dedicated to finding great homes for neglected and abandoned animals.
The organization was founded by Russell and Teresa Taylor in 2001. They opened the door of their heart to helping the helpless and ended up opening up their home for abandoned animals. Since 2001 this couple, in tandem with community support, have placed more than 6000 animals into new homes. The success rate of this rescue is amazing.
We welcome you to explore the pages and photos on our website of animals that have found permanent refuge at MRR, are looking for a second chance at a good life or have gone on to enjoy life with their new families. All of our pets are thoroughly checked by a local veterinarian, given updated shots, spayed or neutered. Sick or injured animals receive medical treatment until healthy. Only healthy animals are released for adoption.
It is our policy to get as much information as
possible regarding each animal. Our staff evaluates
each animal and assesses what type of home is best.
Based upon these findings we will post that information
about the animal. This policy assists both MRR and you
in placing the right animal into the right home environment.
For example: some dogs are wonderful with little children,
others are not. We will not place certain breeds where
there are small children.
